I studied journalism in college and spent time as a web designer and freelance writer for tech and online magazines. My passion for hip hop (since 1983) led me to start World Hip Hop Market (www.worldhiphopmarket.com) in 2003 as a source of information and products pertaining to hip hop outside the USA.
I am currently a main organizer for the Trinity International Hip Hop Festival (www.trinityhiphop.com) and promote show by international artists both in Atlanta and at major festivals. I do online promotions for international artists and am currently producing some video shorts and an album.
Outside of hip hop, I love soccer and follow Chicago Fire and the US Men's national team - outside the USA my favorties are Barcelona, Arsenal and the Dutch national team.
I enjoy live arts events - from theatre to dance or live music - just about any style.
In what spare time I can squeeze out, I am always listening to new music (mostly previewing new international hip hop groups).
I also like to take in concerts, musicals and movies.
Part of my job is finding hip hop artists and organizations with a passion and/or a cause. I am inspired by all the positive work going on in the world using hip hop.
I love to travel, so it is a hard decision! Tokyo, Jamaica, London, Sydney, Athens, Nairobi would top my list. But at this point, I would go to Paris to see my brother who I have not seen for years.
