About me

I want to open up the world and meet people who are interested in evolving as a species.

I can relate to just about anyone, anywhere. I'm multi-ethnic and was granted the gift of empathy from an early age. I also discovered my passion for writing at a very early age.

I try to balance my plethora of interests and activities, but that doesn't stop me from adding to them all the time. All the while I still try to write as much as I can.

I aspire to greatness but empathize with people that find satisfaction in simplicity.

I try not to judge, but often find myself giving people advice, but don't take that as an insinuation I know more than you, quite the opposite. For giving advice is merely a way to let others profit from your past mistakes, but it is always your choice whether or not to follow it.

My interests

Writing, soccer, parenting, politics, blogging, coaching, dancing, living, loving, creating, discovering, dreaming, doing.

I never know what to write in "interests" profile areas, because I have a hard time NOT finding something (anything) interesting.

Interview

What motivates and inspires you?

My family and friends motivate me, but I can find inspiration anywhere.

I'm inspired by my ancestors, who had so much less than I did. Everything they did was so that I would have a better life.

I'm inspired by young people. My kids, the high school kids I play soccer with, the kids I coach. All of them look up to me and believe in me. I just aspire to be what they see in me, to be better than I think I am.

I'm inspired by nature. Earth. The solar system. The galaxy. The universe. The multi-verse. It's hard not to find inspiration in the things we had no hand in creating, yet are beautiful and complicated and do things we still don't understand.

If you were given a trip for the weekend (all-expenses paid), where would you go?

Ok, I'm going to cheat and put more than one place, because if my expenses are all paid then you're taking me all over the world.

Ibiza, Spain: If you love loud music, the beach, scantily clad beautiful people, clubbing, and craziness then you'd feel the same.

Japan: I've never been to Asia, but I've seen some spectacular pictures and videos of places here. It seems like a great blend of big-city fun and unique parts of nature.

India: One of the oldest cultures on Earth, and there aren't many places like it.

New York, L.A., and Vail: I've been to Europe three times yet I still haven't been to Cali or NY, sad. I love snow, especially skiing. I skied in Vail once, and haven't met a ski resort that lives up to it since.

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time?

Play, coach, and watch soccer, specifically US Soccer.

I love to write, but I don't as often as I should.

Traveling is something I can never get tired of. I love to put my feet up at home, but there isn't much as exciting as stepping off a train at a place you've never been.

I'm a dreamer, so there isn't much I can't vision myself doing. I listed things I do now, but I'm open minded and up for just about anything.
