Skillology Points?

Will someone from the Skillology team explain the point system? What is it? How do you accumulate points? What are they for? :)

I've seen point systems on forums before for changing name titles, etc and was wondering if this was the same.

Ah, good question! Points are essentially credits that you'll be able to redeem in exchange for store items and prizes that will be available in the future. Stay tuned.  Right now, you accumulate points based on your contributions back to the community, specifically:

  • Uploading a blog, video, audio, document
  • Posting to discussion forums or commenting on another member's content
  • Inviting friends using the invite tool (http://www.skillology.com/invite)
  • Completing your profile such as uploading a photo
  • Logging in to check on things 

Certain contributions and activities are ranked higher in value.

Tip:  adding any content and inviting other members are sure ways to rack 'em up! Also, check out this page http://www.skillology.com/myuserpoints (located under My Skillology menu) for a way to track your points, and find out how many points you received for specific things.
