Ira Gets Me

I might not be a "storyteller" in the same sense as Ira Glass, but this video speaks beyond the realm of storytelling and more about getting started and moving forward regardless of your craft form.  I love this video and repeat it from time to time.  Hope you find some inspiration in the words of Ira Glass as I have.

"Racism is still alive, they just be concealing it"....

We all know racism is still very alive and well.  At moments like this where stories like Trayvon Martin's are headliners in the news, it just pours salt on unhealed wounds.  This video is from a show that used to air on ABC. They would manufacture different situations and expose the bias, racism, and stereotypical attitudes that America possesses.

Rumor Has It- Simple Choreography

I choreographed to the same song, but more simple moves.  My 3 year old little cousin wants to be in dance and I decided to see how she would do if I taught her some choreography.  She learned this in 15 minutes and did very well!  Enjoy!

Rumor Has It- Quick Routine

Havent danced or choreographed since 2007! I'm sure I will be sore tomorrow, but had an urge to dance, so I did! Part of it was choreographed, the other part was improv because I forgot what I choreographed at certain points, LOL!  A passion that Im trying to find time for once again.  My little cousins were over so you will see their spontaneous cameos. Hehe. Enjoy!

Who Are You? Fellow Skillologist Inspires with Motivational Speech

Who are you? What do you communicate? What do you exude? Is it purpose? Hope? Justice? Love? Professionalism?

On behalf of the Summer 2006 graduating class of the University of Florida, Ms. Daphne Charles, Writer/Editor for Skillology, delivered an awesome and inspiring speech asking her fellow graduating classmates to reflect on these questions.

In the video below, Daphne reminds ambitious professionals that we are anything and everything we can imagine ourselves to be. We are who we think we are. Our potential -- boundless.
