The confidence it takes to proclaim near immortality is a trait worth being desired.  So many individuals are too shy to shout their dreams – or record them on tracks - from the rooftop because they lack true certainty that these visions will manifest.

When I think of the word “creative”, my mind travels back to grade school - thoughts of finger paint, play-doh, building castles out of mud and sticks - you know, that real messy-moldy all over your fingers and face kind of creativity.

When others think of the word, “creative,” in a more mature spectrum, they may think of celebrated artists like Di Vinci or poets like Hughes -- individuals who have managed to illustrate life through various platforms in a way that makes those people extraordinary.  

Some say the world is coming to an end.  It’s time to lose all hope and give up on your aspirations and dreams because it’s not even worth it, they say.  Why even try to be your best when the world will hold you down?  If it’s not people, it’s finances. If it’s not finances, it’s the issues that have been holding you back from reaching your full potential for years.

It’s time to change your perspective.  And the best way to start is by giving back.  Giving back can save your life.  Trust me on this one.

I have a secret. And, it’s time I let it all out. The patient, kind, inspirational, spiritual woman people see has been and continues to be a work in progress.  My life’s work and reputation is all a result of my determination to keep things in perspective.

It all comes down to priming.

I have noticed lately that people-- who I’ve known for very long spans of time -- are hesitant in approaching me about certain topics.  These aren’t your typical touchy subjects like politics, religion, where to go to dinner on a Friday night, and etc.; these are very simple things like not wanting to ask me to go to the store or my thoughts on their outfit of the day.
