What's on Your Dream Board?

There’s been a new craze sweeping the walls of dreamers in the past few years. They’re inspiring, motivating and captivating.  Some call them “inspiration boards,” I like to refer to them as a “dream boards.”

Back in 2010, I was under extreme stress. So to release some tension, I began cutting out photos and quotes from old magazines; things that stuck out to my personal interests: feminine and cultural empowerment, traveling, shopping and forward thinking.

I next pasted these photos and quotes on a large piece of paper in a way that made sense to me, hence the creation of my dream board.

The process of creating this board was powerful.  It allowed me to analyze what I held as important in life.  I was able to clear my head for a few hours at a time and reflect on the possibilities of life.  And not nearly as creative as some of my friends, I managed to produce a work of art that I could be proud of. I posted the board on the wall at the foot of my bed (where it is today) so that I could awake to impactful images and guidance every morning.

I encourage everyone to take a moment, get your creative juices flowing and make a board of your own!
