Soulfege is a fresh blend of musical talent that I think fellow Skillologists will appreciate. I heard them perform live a few years ago in Boston and was blown away by their fusion of reggae, hip-hop, R&B, and other African-influenced rhythms, along with their uplifting and awareness-raising, smart lyrics. The crowd was on their feet, singing and dancing along to the polyrhythmic beats and horn-accompanied chords. The talented and original band aims to teach through their music, and they've defied the status quo by independently producing and distributing their music to the masses. They're a truly soulful, eclectic band consisting of members with roots in Ghana, Trinidad, United States, Mexico, and elsewhere and they've gained a rapid following around the world.
