I woke up this morning feeling good, feeling great. I saw the bright yellow sun peering through my blinds as it created stripes of shade and light. I arose from bed to continue my normal morning routine to prepare for work. I went to take my hot shower, brush my teeth, scrub my face, and put on my smell goods. I rock my natural hair, so on the days where my hair is not straightened, twisted-out, or otherwise, I wet my hair in the shower. Today was one of those days where I wet my hair, so of course I have to tame it and throw a scarf on it before heading to work. Today I wore a black headband just to keep things in place for the day.
As I proceeded out the front door, I smiled at the anticipation of a great day and the beautiful weather. However, my allergies did not seem to agree with me. I felt my nose starting to itch and my head began to throb. I needed to take something for the pain, but I did not bring any pain medication with me to work, so I tried to tough it out. I just knew it was a sinus headache because there was SO MUCH pressure around my whole head. I couldn’t take it anymore. The next thing I did saved my whole day from demise. I took my right hand and tugged slowly at my headband. As it released inch by inch, I felt the relief I so longed for. I kept tugging until it was just about to come off, and TA-DA, I was cured. I took a huge sigh because the pain almost instantly faded away. Maybe I was being a bit of a hypochondriac, but call it what you want, I was hurting. Hehe
The Take Away…DON’T TIE YOUR SCARVES OR HEADBANDS TOO TIGHT OR YOU WILL GET A HEADACHE.

Spriegro- that is hilarious! Believe it or not, it happens to a lot of people, including females. We just have the hair to cover our foreheads if need be.
Cdrizzle- thanks for the feedback man. Indeed I was cured, lol.
Jaiy- Now that is funny! I too have tried to make a head dressing by tying rubberbands, except, I ended up pulling some of my hair out when attempting to get relief. On second thought maybe I should have got someone to cut mine out too, lol, OH WELL! That was a while ago when I did that though. NO MORE RUBBERBANDS! Hehe
